Terms of Service

The agreement between you and Linkintel, Inc. for using EduZen AI. Written to be read once, in plain language, without a lawyer beside you.

  • Last updated 5 September 2026
  • Effective 5 September 2026

The short version

  • Your material is yours. We host it so the app can work, and we never use it to train AI models.
  • An AI tutor makes mistakes. Check anything that matters — a grade, a deadline, a medical or legal fact — against a real source.
  • Free stays free. Pro is optional, renews until you cancel, and you cancel yourself in Settings.
  • Use it to learn, not to cheat. Your school’s rules still apply, and they are not ours to waive.
  • You can leave. Write to us and we delete your account and what is in it.

This summary is here to be read. It is not the agreement — the numbered sections below are.

Who we are

EduZen AI is a study platform operated by Linkintel, Inc. (“we”, “us”, “our”). These Terms of Service are the agreement between you and Linkintel, Inc. for your use of the EduZen AI website, applications and services (together, the Service).

You can reach a person at [email protected].

Accepting these terms

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

If you are using EduZen AI on behalf of a school, an organisation or another person, you confirm you are allowed to accept these Terms for them, and “you” in this document means both you and them.

Who can use EduZen

EduZen AI is a learning platform and it is open to learners of any age. Learning does not have an age limit and neither does this.

A contract, however, does. If you are a minor where you live, you may use the Service with the permission of a parent, guardian or teacher who is responsible for you, and that adult accepts these Terms on your behalf. A parent or guardian who wants to see what a child has stored here, correct it, or have it deleted can write to [email protected] and we will act on it.

You may not use the Service if we have previously closed your account for breaking these Terms, or if the law where you live forbids it.

Your account

You sign in with an email address and a password, or with Google. Keep your password to yourself: anyone holding it can read everything in your account. Tell us at [email protected] if you think someone else has got in, and change your password — changing it signs every other browser out.

Give us an address you can actually open. Confirming it is not a wall in front of learning, but it is how you get a password reset, and an unconfirmed address is one we cannot recover an account with.

One account is for one person. You are responsible for what happens under yours.

What EduZen is — and what it is not

EduZen AI explains topics, builds study plans, turns your material into notes, quizzes and flashcards, and talks with you about what you are learning. Much of that is produced by AI models, from your material and from your questions.

AI gets things wrong. It can be confidently wrong, which is worse. An explanation, a translation, a transcript, a summary, a practice answer or a mark from EduZen AI is a study aid and not a verified fact. Check anything that carries a consequence against your course material, your teacher or another reliable source.

The Service is not professional advice. It is not medical, legal, financial, psychological or academic advice, and it does not replace a teacher, a doctor, a lawyer or an accountant. Do not rely on it for a decision that needs one of those.

Your material stays yours

Everything you bring or make here — files, notes, recordings, transcripts, questions, answers, plans — is yours. We claim no ownership of it.

To run the Service we need your permission to handle it. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, copy, display and process your material, and to send it to the providers listed in our Privacy Policy, strictly to operate the Service for you: to render a PDF into pages, to transcribe a recording, to draft a note, to write a quiz, to answer your question. Nothing more. The licence ends when you delete the material or your account, apart from copies sitting in routine backups until they roll off.

You confirm you have the right to upload what you upload. Do not put someone else’s copyrighted material here without permission, and do not upload another person’s private information — a classmate’s medical letter is not study material.

We do not train AI models on your material

Your notes, files, recordings, transcripts and conversations are not used to train, fine-tune or improve any AI model — not ours, and not our providers’. The AI providers we use process your material to answer the specific request and are contractually barred from training on it.

We may look at aggregate, non-identifying numbers — how many lessons were started, how often a feature errors — to keep the product working. That is counting, not reading.

Using EduZen honestly

EduZen AI is built to help you understand things. Your school’s, university’s or exam board’s rules about AI still apply to you, and we cannot waive them. Submitting work the tutor wrote as your own may be academic misconduct where you study. That is your call and your risk.

You also agree not to:

  • break the law with it, or use it to harm, harass, defraud or impersonate anyone;
  • upload malware, or material that is unlawful, hateful or sexually exploitative of children;
  • try to get around limits, quotas, rate limits or paywalls — including by scripting the API, sharing one account between people, or opening accounts to keep resetting a free allowance;
  • resell, sublicense, scrape or mirror the Service, or use it to build a competing product or to generate training data for a model;
  • probe, break or overload our infrastructure, or attempt to reach another user’s account or material;
  • reverse-engineer the Service, or strip out the parts of it that enforce these rules, except where the law says you may.

Recording other people has its own rules. If you record a lecture or a conversation, make sure you are allowed to where you are.

Plans, payment and renewal

There is a free plan, and there is Pro. Pro is one product sold in three durations — weekly, monthly and yearly. A longer duration is a lower price for the same thing, never a bigger product.

Upgrading during setup is optional. You can continue with the free plan and its limits. Any yearly savings shown compare the yearly charge with twelve payments at the current monthly price in the same currency; they are not a temporary discount on a former yearly price. The full amount and renewal period are shown before checkout.

When the welcome gift is offered, WELCOME40 gives new customers 40% off their first Pro payment only, on weekly, monthly or yearly billing. Enter the code in Stripe Checkout before paying. Later payments renew at the regular price shown; taxes may apply. Stripe checks eligibility and shows the final discounted total before you confirm payment.

Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. Prices are shown before you pay, in the currency Stripe shows you, and exclude taxes unless stated otherwise; where we are required to charge VAT, sales tax or similar, it is added at checkout.

Pro renews automatically at the end of each period, at the then-current price, until you cancel. Where a free trial is offered it is stated at checkout, and unless you cancel before it ends it becomes a paid period.

We can change prices. An existing subscription keeps its price until the end of its current period, and we will tell you by email before a change applies to your renewal. If you do not want the new price, cancel before it takes effect.

If a payment fails we may retry it and, if it keeps failing, move your account back to the free plan. Your material is not deleted when that happens.

Cancelling and refunds

Cancel whenever you like, yourself, from Settings → Manage billing. You do not have to ask us and you do not have to explain. Cancelling stops the next renewal; Pro stays on for the rest of the period you have already paid for, and then the account becomes a free one.

Payments are otherwise non-refundable, including for a period you did not use. That said, we are not looking to keep money you did not mean to spend: if you were charged by mistake or something went badly wrong, write to [email protected] and we will look at it properly.

Where the law where you live gives you a right to cancel or a refund — for example a statutory withdrawal period for consumers in the EU or the UK — you keep that right, and this section does not reduce it.

Limits and fair use

Storage and time spent talking with the voice tutor are metered on both Free and Pro. Free also has rolling 24-hour allowances for taught lessons and AI-created quiz or flashcard sets. Reviewing saved practice and writing cards by hand do not spend the practice creation allowance. Current allowances and the size limit for a single upload are shown in your account.

We may change these allowances. If a change would reduce what you have on a paid plan, we will tell you before it applies to you.

Automated or unusually heavy use that degrades the Service for other people may be rate-limited or suspended.

Changes to the Service

We add, change and remove features. Some of that is improvement and some of it is a model provider changing under us. We will not remove a significant part of a paid plan without telling you first, and if we discontinue the Service altogether we will give notice and refund the unused part of any paid period.

Ending your account

You can stop using EduZen AI at any time. To have your account and the material in it deleted, write to [email protected] from the address on the account. We action it and confirm when it is done. Deletion is permanent — export anything you want to keep first.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms, that we are legally required to close, or that is being used in a way that endangers other users or our infrastructure. Except where the breach is serious or the law prevents it, we will tell you why and give you a chance to put it right, and we will let you get your material out.

What belongs to us

The Service itself — the software, the design, the wordmark, Wolfie and everything else that is not your material — belongs to Linkintel, Inc. or its licensors, and is protected by copyright and trade mark law. These Terms give you permission to use the Service; they do not give you any ownership of it. Feedback you send us we may use freely, without obligation to you.

Third-party services and material

The Service works with other companies’ systems — payment, storage, AI models, email, sign-in — and can bring in material you point it at, such as a video you import. We are not responsible for those third parties or for material we did not write, and their own terms apply to your use of them. Our Privacy Policy names the providers your data actually reaches.

Disclaimers

We work hard to keep EduZen AI accurate and available, and we do not promise it always will be. To the fullest extent the law allows, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement.

In particular, we do not warrant that AI-generated explanations, transcripts, translations, marks or study plans are accurate, complete, or suitable for your exam, and we do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that your material can never be lost. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.

Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions, in which case they do not apply to you.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Linkintel, Inc. and its directors, employees and suppliers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost study time, or a grade, place or opportunity you did not get, arising out of or relating to the Service — even if we were told such damages were possible.

Our total liability for all claims relating to the Service in any twelve-month period is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in that period, or US$50.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, you keep your statutory rights.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Linkintel, Inc. harmless from claims, losses and reasonable legal costs arising from your material, your use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms or of someone else’s rights. This does not apply to the extent the claim is caused by us.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The state and federal courts located in Delaware have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, and you and we consent to that jurisdiction.

If you are a consumer resident in the EU, the UK or another place whose law gives you the right to bring proceedings in your own courts and under your own consumer law, that right is untouched by this section.

Before starting anything formal, please write to [email protected]. Most things are a misunderstanding and can be fixed in a day.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms. When a change is material we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect, and the date at the top of this page always says when it last changed. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the new version; if you do not, stop using the Service and write to us to close your account.

The rest

These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about the Service. If a clause turns out to be unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Our not enforcing something once does not mean we have given it up. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms; we may transfer ours to a company that takes over this business, and your rights come with you if we do.
